PVA - M218 (For general purpose packaging)
Technical data
The special advantage of this adhesive is that the
dried adhesive film has the capacity to de-laminate in
the presence of water and therefore it can be removed
from materials on which accidental spillage or placement
has occurred. In the case of clothing by washing and in
the case of work in progress by removal with a damp
cloth.
M218 is a medium viscosity compounded emulsion
suitable for bonding paper to paper/board and some other
more difficult substrates. It has excellent rhealogical
properties, giving good running characteristics in a
wide variety of coating and application systems. The
emulsion dries to a strong flexible film.
This adhesive may be used in a variety of packaging
and book binding applications, either by machine or
hand, particularly suited for use on a Swift or Balema
machine for hand case making.
Unlike most PVA's this adhesive has a built in
resistance to yellowing due to ageing and also has a
neutral pH.
